Africa-Press – Nigeria. Buba Galadima, a senior chieftain of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), has highlighted the risks of being outspoken in Nigeria’s political landscape.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Galadima reflected on his decades-long involvement in politics, saying that honesty often comes at a personal and political cost.

“In the Nigerian context, I’m the worst man, not bad, because Nigeria doesn’t like my type,” he said.

He added that leaders who speak truth to power are often deliberately excluded from positions of influence.

He recounted how even his daughter, who won a councilor seat, was denied her entitlements because of her association with him.

“This shows how vindictive politics can be in Nigeria, where people are punished not for what they do but for their affiliations,” Galadima noted.
