Africa-Press – Nigeria. Bahir Ahmed, media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, has reacted to the Supreme Court’s dismissal of a suit filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, seeking the disqualification of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kasim Shettima as the presidential and vice presidential candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
The country’s apex court dismissed the suit based on “Locus Standi”.
Ahmed, in a statement through his official Twitter handle on Friday, said since the Supreme Court has given its verdict, Nigerians can now focus on May 29th inauguration and governance.
“Time to focus fully on May 29th and governance afterwards”, he wrote.
