Africa-Press – Nigeria. The newly elected national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Kabiru Turaki, has declared that his leadership will hold its inaugural National Executive Meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18, at the party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
Turaki made this known on Monday while speaking to journalists moments after submitting a petition at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Garki against the expelled national secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, amongst others.
He stated that nothing would stop him and his colleagues from meeting tomorrow at the office.
The move comes after the Nyesom Wike-backed faction of the PDP, led by Muhammed Abdulrahman, summoned an emergency National Executive Committee, NEC, and Board of Trustees meeting for Tuesday.
According to the notice issued by the expelled national secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, in Abuja on Monday, the meeting will be held at the NEC Hall of the party’s national secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
