The Commander, 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke, OPWS, Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, has praised the officers and soldiers of 114 Battalion (Rear), Jimilari, for their professionalism, resilience and loyalty in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities, particularly during ongoing operations within the Brigade’s area of responsibility.
He gave the commendation on Friday while hosting the soldiers to a New Year luncheon in recognition of their dedication, sacrifice and commitment to duty which took place in the Battalion which is located in Jimilari, Lau local government council.
Addressing the troops, he noted that their collective efforts have continued to enhance peace, security and the protection of lives and property.
The Brigade Commander acknowledged the personal sacrifices made by personnel, including extended deployments and prolonged periods away from their families, describing them as the backbone of the Nigerian Army.
He assured the troops of the command’s sustained commitment to their welfare, morale and operational effectiveness.
Brigadier General Uwa urged the personnel to remain disciplined, loyal and professional in the New Year, while upholding the core values of the Nigerian Army.
He expressed optimism that the Brigade would achieve greater operational successes through teamwork, vigilance and renewed dedication to service.
In a demonstration of his “Soldiers First” leadership philosophy, the Commander was observed to have personally served the troops during the luncheon.
