Africa-Press – Nigeria. Jose Peseiro has been nominated for the International Federation of Football History and Statistics Men’s World Best National Coach award.
Peseiro led the Super Eagles to second position at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles lost 2-1 to the Elephants in the final of the competition.
The Portuguese earned a nomination for the prestigious award for the first time.
20 other coaches are also in the running for the award.
Spain’s Luis de la Fuente, Didier Deschamps of France and Argentina’s Lionel Scaloni are some of the other top coaches nominated for the award.
