Africa-Press – Nigeria. Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, has named Chelsea’s Eduoard Mendy as the best goalkeeper in the world.
Koulibaly said this while reacting to Senegal’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, final victory against Egypt on Sunday.
Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 in a penalty shootout to win their maiden AFCON in Cameroon.
Speaking at his post-match press conference, Koulibaly, who captained Senegal to defeat Egypt, said: “We feel happy.
“We knew it would be hard to win the Africa Cup of Nations, but today we made it.
“Our team deserved to win this title. We had been looking for this for a long time and now we have it. This team is magnificent.
“It was a tough game and a tough tournament. We made it with our team and our power.
“Our goalkeeper is the best in the world and we win the title.”
