EPL: Ighalo being insulted by Solskjaer at Man United – Udeze

Africa-PressNigeria. Ifeanyi Udeze, a former Super Eagles defender, has noted that Odion Ighalo is being insulted by manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.

According to Udeze, for the Norwegian gaffer to have snubbed the Nigerian in their FA Cup 1-0 win against his former club, Watford at the weekend means the Red Devils boss has no regard for him (Igbalo).

Udeze said Ighalo’s continued lack of game time at United has become an insult.

Solskjaer, as usual, overlooked Ighalo when the Red Devils filed out at home to his former club Watford in Saturday’s FA Cup third round tie after disclosing during his pre-match press conference that the Nigerian will be involved in the game.

However, the former Super Eagles striker sat on the bench for the entire duration of the game.

Ighalo, who is billed to leave the club at the end of this month, last appeared for United on December 2nd when he came on as a second half substitute in the 3-1 home loss to PSG in the Champions League.

“I think Ighalo’s situation at Manchester United is now an insult,” Udeze said on Brila FM on Monday.

“That he could not even still play in the FA Cup shows the amount of insult he is being subjected to at the club.

“This is someone who doesn’t get to play in the Premier League, and now he cannot even play in the Cup game after the coach said he will be involved.

“Thank God we are in January now, so he should review his situation at United and make a decision.”
