Africa-Press – Nigeria. Paul Onuachu was on target in Southampton’s 2-1 home defeat to Wolverhampton Wanderers at St Mary’s Stadium.
Jørgen Strand Larsen headed Wolves in front with the only meaningful chance of the first half in the 19th minute.
Larsen doubled Wolves’ advantage two minutes after the break.
Onuachu came off the bench to reduce the deficit for the hosts 15 minutes from time.
It was the Nigeria international’s third league goal of the season for the Saints.
His compatriot, Joe Aribo, was also in action for Southampton in the match.
Aribo was replaced by Jack Stephens in stoppage time.
