Africa-Press – Nigeria. Manchester United have been branded a ‘shambles’ after yet another story was apparently leaked from the club’s dressing room.
The latest report suggests captain Harry Maguire and legendary striker Cristiano Ronaldo are locked in a ‘power struggle’, with Ralf Rangnick considering giving the armband to the Portugal star.
And former striker, Jason Cundy blasted Rangnick’s side over the report of power tussle over a captaincy change, mid-season.
“The club is a shambles!” Cundy told talkSPORT.
“I don’t see that resolving anything. That isn’t the biggest problem right now.”
Rangnick, Ronaldo and Maguire are said to have had talks about the England defender relinquishing the armband for the rest of the season.
This is to take the pressure off Maguire as he wrestles with a loss of form.
And Maguire is believed to be reluctant to do that, because he fears he might lose the captaincy on a permanent basis.
