Africa-Press – Nigeria. Victor Osimhen opened his goal account for the new season as Napoli defeated Hellas Verona 5-2 at the Stadio Marc’ Antonio Bentegodi on Monday night.
Osimhen scored Napoli’s second goal of the game late in the first half.
The striker nodded home Giovanni van Lorenzo’s corner-kick for the last action of the half.
The Nigeria international then set up Matteo Politano for the fifth goal 11 minutes from time.
He was replaced by Algeria international Adam Ounas in the 83rd minute.
Osimhen scored 14 goals in 27 league appearances for the Partenopei last season.
