Taraba Police Arrest Five Suspects for Pipeline Vandalism

Africa-Press – Nigeria. The Taraba State Police Command has arrested five men for allegedly vandalising Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) pipelines in Ardo Kola Local Government Area.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama revealed in a post on Wednesday that the suspects were caught on September 23 at Zangon Kombi village.

According to Makama, operatives of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit acted on credible intelligence, stormed the area around 2 p.m., and caught the suspects in the act.

Those arrested include Gambo Umar, 30; Sale Musa, 38; Usama Zakar, 22; Abdulwahab Ibrahim, 25; and Shitu Mohammed, 23, all from Gassol and Ardo Kola LGAs.

Items recovered at the scene were 36 cut-to-size pipes, a generator, one digger, and two shovels.

Makama added that investigations are ongoing and further updates will be made public as the case progresses.
