Africa-Press – Nigeria. Falconets forward Flourish Sabastine has been named Woman of the Match following her side’s hard-fought 1-0 win against France on Friday morning.
Sabastine netted the winning goal for the Falconets five minutes from time following a superb pass from Mercy Idoko.
She was brilliant all through the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Group C encounter at the Estadio Nacional, San Jose.
The win put Chris Danjuma’s side in a good position to secure a place in the quarter-finals.
In the group’s other game, Korea Republic defeated Canada 2-0 to secure top spot in the standings.
Nigeria and Korea Republic will go toe to toe at the Estadio Alajuela Morera Soto on Sunday night.
