Africa-Press – Rwanda. It was a good weekend for Rwandan players plying their trade abroad as Phanuel Kavita, Quentin Rushenguziminega and Warren Kamanzi were on target in US, Switzerland and France respectively.
Samuel Gueulette has also been nominated for the RAAL La Louviere player of the season while winger Jojea Kwizera suffered a first half injury in Rhode Island FC 3-0 thrashing of Tampa Bay Rowdies.
The season many parts across the globe is nearing its conclusion and teams are looking to end the league campaign on a high note.

Phanuel Kavita (Birmingham Legion FC, USA)
The Birmingham Legion skipper scored the equalizer at the Protective Stadium in Alabama on Sunday as his team Birmingham Legion FC drew 1-1 with Detroit City FC in the USL.
Quentin Rushenguziminega (FC Echallens, Switzerland)
The Rwanda international scored his 17th league goal of the season as his team FC Echallens lost 4-2 to Lausanne II in the Swiss fourth league. Rushenguziminega opened the scoring for Echallens in the 17th minute.
Clement Twizere Buhake (Ull/Kisa, Norway)
Shot stopper Buhake pulled a series of great saves for Ull/Kisa who beat his former team Strommen 2-1 in the Norwegian 3rd League on Saturday.
Warren Kamanzi (Toulouse, France)
Right-back Warren Kamanzi found the back of the net in the 10th minute as his side Toulouse beat Saint Etienne 3-2 in the French Ligue 1 on Saturday. It was Kamanzi’s first goal for the club this season. He is still eligible to play for Rwanda despite representing Norway only at U21 level.
Johan Marvin Kury (SR Delemont, Switzerland)
Winger Johan Marvin Kury came from the bench and played 24 minutes as his team SR Delemont beat Breitenrain 4-1 in the Swiss third tier league on Saturday.
Bonheur Mugisha (Stade Tunisien, Tunisia)
Bonheur Mugisha started from the bench for the first time in Stade Tunisien’s last game of the season on Thursday. He replaced Heldi Khalifa in the 46th minute as they lost 1-0 to Soliman.
Stade Tunisien finished 6th with 49 points and Mugisha contributed 5 goals in 31 games.
On Sunday, he played the entire game in the League cup quarterfinals as Stade Tunisien beat Etoile Sportive du Sahel 1-0.
Jojea Kwizera (Rhode Island FC, USA)
Jojea Kwizera played just 39 minutes before he was substituted after picking up an injury as his team Rhode Island FC walloped Tampa Bay Rowdies 3-0 in the USL.
Samuel Gueulette (Raal La Louviere, Belgium)
Rwandan enforcer Samuel Gueulette has been nominated for the RAAL La Louviere player of the season award. Gueulette made 26 appearances for Raal, scoring twice and provided one assist.
