Africa-Press – Rwanda. Amavubi striker Patrick Mutsinzi has opened up about his decision to sign for Mukura Victory Sports.
The 22-year-old forward sealed a two-year deal with the Huye-based club on Thursday, after spending the 2024/25 season with Masfout FC in the United Arab Emirates.
Speaking to Times Sport, Mutsinzi said the club’s offer and playing philosophy were key factors in his decision.
“I chose Mukura out of other teams because it has a big name and they approached me with a very good contract.” Mutsinzi told Times Sport
“Also, I watched their games against Rayon and APR last season and I saw they are very good. They keep possession and most times advance to the opponent’s 18-yard box. As a number nine, I believe I can contribute a lot of goals due to their system,” he added.
Mutsinzi was an unused substitute during Rwanda’s 2-0 defeat to Mozambique in the AFCON qualifiers held at Huye Stadium in June 2023.
He previously played for Heroes FC and the U21 side of UAE’s Al Wahda, where he finished as the top scorer during the second half of the 2023/24 season.
