Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda international striker Abeddy Biramahire has sent an emotional goodbye message to Rayon Sports family before departing Kigali to complete his move to Algerian side Entente Sportive Sétifienne (ES Setif) on Sunday, July 27.
Biramahire had extended his contract with the Blues after an impressive short spell at the club since joining in January before the Algerian side paid his release close earlier this week to secure his services on a two-year deal.
“When I joined Rayon, everyone from the club—fans and management—received me well and it was dream for me to play for such a club. Since I was child I dreamed about playing for this club and those dreams came to pass.” Biramahire said.
The striker said he is leaving a club which he describes as a family.
“I think in the last six months I enjoyed every moment. Rayon Sports has become more than just a club to me. They are like my family,” Biramahire said
“It’s not easy to say goodbye to a friend who always supported you in difficult moments but I think it’s time that we separate. Rayon Sports is family,” Biramahire noted.
Biramahire, 26, also previously played for AS Kigali, Bugesera FC, Mukura Victory Sports and Police FC in Rwanda as well as Mozambican top tier side UD Songo and Al Suwaiq in Oman.
