Africa-Press – Rwanda. Inspector of Police (IP) Drocelle Niyonsaba and a motorcyclist were killed in a road accident over the weekend after a truck lost control and hit a motorcycle the duo were riding on.
The incident happened on Saturday March 26 in Rubavu District.

According to eyewitnesses, a loaded truck lost control as it sloped down toward Gisenyi town knocking several vehicles including the motorcycle that Niyonsaba was on, the Mayor of Rubavu District Ildephonse Kambogo who rushed to the scene of the accident confirmed the reports.
Rubavu district authorities said on different occasions that the ongoing construction of Rugerero-Byahi road will address such cargo-related accidents that have been happening over time.
The bypass road, where cargo trucks will be diverted, is expected to be a long last solution to these accidents as Kambogo previously told The New Times.
