Africa-Press – Rwanda. Striker Abeddy Biramahire has joined Rayon Sports on a six-month contract which will see him play for the club for the remainder of the season.
The Rwanda international joined the Blues on a short-term deal as he aims to contribute to the club’s quest for the 2024/25 Rwanda Premier League.
Biramahire, 26, returns to the Rwandan league after two seasons with Mozambican top tier side UD Songo for which he featured since February 2023.
The forward is no stranger to the Rwandan football, having previously played for AS Kigali before moving to Al Suwaiq in Oman in 2022.
He also had stints with Bugesera FC, Mukura Victory Sports, Police FC.
He is among four signings that the Blues announced on Friday.
Others include 24-year-old Burkinabe defensive midfielder Souleymane Daffe who moved from Salitas FC and Cameroonian winger Innocent Assana Nah who was handed an 18-month contract after passing trials.
Assana, 24, previously played for Fauvre Elite FC in his home country.
Lastly, the club signed striker Adulai Jalo from Benfica FC. Prior to his move, Jalo was leading the scoring charts in the Guinea Bissau top tier league.
Rayon Sports currently lead the league table standings with 36 points, five clear of archrivals APR FC. They will welcome Musanze FC to Kigali Pele Stadium when the league resumes on February 9.
