Africa-Press – Rwanda. APR Handball Club coach Anaclet Bagirishya has praised his players after retaining the Coupe du Rwanda trophy with a hard fought final win over Police HC on Sunday, July 27, at Kimisagara handball ground.

Police HC were favorites to win the trophy considering that they beat APR 28-25 in the group stage before the army side turned the result around to make a revenge against the reigning league champions with a 28-25.

“This is good for us and we are going to build on this win. After losing three consecutive games in the final playoffs, we felt like losing morale but now our confidence is back,” Bagirishya said.

“Am happy we got the revenge against them at the right time because they dominated us in the league, but now we can feel that we are going to be better next season.”

Nyakabanda HC won the third place after beating ADEGI 31-30 in a nail-biting match.
