AS Muhanga 2-1 La Jeunesse
AS Muhanga have been promoted back to the topflight division after four seasons.
The Muhanga-based side achieved a return to top tier football after beating La Jeunesse 2-1 before their home crowd in the final playoff encounter held at Muhanga Stadium on Wednesday, May 7.
The win saw them finish the playoffs in second place, just after Gicumbi FC who traveled to Ngoma Stadium to beat Etoile de l’Est 2-0 to lift the second division league title.
Gicumbi returned to top division after spending three years in second division. They last played topflight football during the 2021-22 season.
