Rayon 1-1 Etincelles
Etincelles FC came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw against Rayon Sports at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday, December 27.
The Blues struggled to secure all three points in what was the first Rwanda Premier League match on the touchline for newly appointed head coach Bruno Ferry who took charge last week.
Rayon Sports dominated the opening 45 minutes, but Etincelles, led by Djuma Masudi, remained resilient as both sides headed into the halftime break locked in a goalless draw.

After recess, the home side increased the pressure and their efforts were rewarded in the 50th minute when Burundian striker Asman Ndikumana broke the deadlock with his fourth goal of the campaign.
The goal sparked a response from Etincelles FC, who pushed forward in search of an equaliser and found it in the 68th minute. Ayman Djabilu Ishimwe calmly finished off a well-weighted assist from Sadjati Niyonkuru.
Rayon Sports pressed for a late winner, but Etincelles remained compact at the back. Chances fell to Tonny Kitoga, Gloire Tambwe, Richard Ndayisenga and Paul Jesus Sindi, but none were able to hit the target.
Earlier in the day at Kigali Pele Stadium, SC Kiyovu and Amagaju FC played out a goalless draw.
League action continues on Sunday, where Musanze FC will host Gorilla FC at Ubworoherane Stadium.
