Africa-Press – Rwanda. Vivo Energy Rwanda, the company that markets and distributes Engen-branded fuels and lubricants in Rwanda, on November 20 launched an end-of-year campaign that will allow their customers to win exciting prizes. The campaign dubbed ‘Na Engen, ndi chef w’umujyi ‘which translates to “with Engen I run the city”, will run for 8 weeks up to mid-January 2022.

How to take part in the promotion

Anyone who fuels at any Engen service station starting from fuel worth Rwf5,000 and above, will stand a chance to win cash, smartphones, television screens, school fees, motorbikes, a brand new car and so much more.

To participate, a motorbike rider has to consume five liters at a go, a private motorist will have to consume 20 liters, coaster bus drivers 50 liters and truck drivers 100 liters, at any Engen service station in the country.

Saibou Coulibaly, Managing Director of Vivo Energy Rwanda said: “the more they fuel up, the more they stand a chance to win weekly, monthly or enter a draw for the grand prize.”

He added that during this promotion, Engen consumers will have access to quality fuels products and services in addition to winning appealing exciting prizes.

Presiding over the launch of the campaign at the Kimironko Engen service station, Hans Paulsen the Executive Vice-President for the East and Southern Africa of Vivo energy said that this is the first sales promotion since 2019 due to the Covid-19 pandemic that has been tough on everyone for the past two years.

“So this campaign is to show our customers that as a company we are committed to accompanying them in every situation either rainy days but also celebrate with them this festive season,” he said.

Mark Bizimana is a motorcycle rider who was among the first participants of the campaign and expressed his excitement for the launch saying he hopes to win one of the prizes.

“I usually get my fuel here at the Engen station, but the fact that I stand a chance to win school fees for my children or maybe a car then this shows how much they care about us as their customers” he added.

Vivo Energy Rwanda has deployed a team of promoters at every Engen station in the country who will be helping customers to fill in their coupons and run the draw at every service station. The draws will be broadcast on television twice every week for customers to find out if they won.

Vivo Energy operates and markets 2,400 service stations in 23 countries across Africa and employs around 2,700 people and has access to over 1 million cubic meters of fuel storage capacity.
