Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda international Samuel Gueulette was on target on Friday night, April 18, as his team Raal La Louviere beat Lommel 2-1 on the final day of the 2024/25 Belgian second league season.
The win saw Raal La Louviere finish 2nd on the league table with 58 points and automatically qualify for the 2025/26 Jupiler Pro League season.
After an intense first half, Lucas Schoof gave Lommel the lead in the 78th minute but Raal equalized in the 79th minute through Gueulette whose effort took a deflection of former Manchester City Academy player Yeboah Amankwah.
With the game heading to a 1-1 draw, Mouhamed Boulkheir popped up with a 92nd minute winner as Raal won the game by 2-1 to ensure qualification to Belgian top tier three years after playing fourth tier league in 2022.
Guelette, who is the vice-captain of the team, played 26 out of 29 league games this season scoring twice and providing one assist from his defensive midfield role.
