Friday, October 3
Theatre takes the spotlight at L’Espace as Jospin de Mars and Gloire Taylor present Etcetera. The play begins at 7 p.m. at KN 297 Street and promises an evening of thought-provoking performance in an intimate setting. Tickets will be available at the door.
Saturday, October 4
The afternoon begins with Colour and Chill, a creative hangout at KASO Outdoor on KK 360 Street. Starting at 2 p.m., the event blends art, karaoke, and games, with professional instructors guiding guests through painting sessions. Packages start at Rwf25,000 per person, Rwf45,000 for couples, with groups of five getting one free.
Guests can expect a welcome drink, supplies included, and a keepsake painting to take home.
For jazz lovers, Cubaka Justin with Ukuu Jazz will be live at L’Espace at 7 p.m. Joined by Luc Buntu and Mucyo Diane, the performance is set to bring smooth rhythms into the night. Tickets go for Rwf5,000.
The same evening, Orchestre Impala take over Mundi Center’s Piazza for Legends Night. The Igisope pioneers return to the stage at 8 p.m. for a concert that revives classics from Rwanda’s golden music era. Gates open at 7 p.m. and tickets are Rwf5,000 in advance or Rwf10,000 at the gate.
KomezArt marks 5 Years Forward with an evening at 12 Degrés from 6 to 10 p.m. The celebration features fine wine, conversation, and an exhibition of contemporary art highlighting the collective’s journey since 2019.
For something different, La Palisse Nyandungu hosts Rwanda’s first Drive-In Cine Soirée. The event pairs film screenings with live music, food, and games under the stars. Tickets for walk-in guests without cars are available for Rwf20,000.
Sunday, October 5
Gospel star Israel Mbonyi launches his fifth album at Intare Arena with a night of worship and celebration. The concert begins in the evening, with tickets set at Rwf5,000 for regular entry, Rwf10,000 VIP, and Rwf20,000 for CIP.
Also on Sunday, the Bright Five Singers mark ten years with a concert at Kigali Marriott Hotel. Known for their blend of pop-opera and gospel across six languages, the ensemble promises an uplifting night. Tickets start at Rwf5,000, with tables for six priced at Rwf100,000.
All Weekend
The first-ever Oktoba Festival runs at Nyagasambu Realm Beach Hotel, about an hour from Kigali. The festival brings together more than 30 beer, wine, and liquor brands alongside barbecue, cocktail bars, and five arenas of DJs.
Guests can join beach games, bonfire nights, and opt for camping packages. Entry is Rwf40,000 per day or Rwf70,000 for three-day access.
