NESA Revises Return-to-School Travel Schedule

Africa-Press – Rwanda. The National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA) has revised travel schedules for Musanze and Rulindo districts, owing to the gorilla naming ceremony Kwita Izina taking place in Musanze District on Friday, September 5.

“Boarding students in schools located in Musanze District will return to school on Saturday, September 6, 2025, instead of Friday, September 5, 2025, as earlier communicated in the notice regarding student movements,” NESA said in an announcement on Wednesday, September 3.

Students in schools lacated in Rulindo boarding schools will travel on Friday, September 5, instead of Saturday.

The adjustment follows an earlier notice of August 27, which outlined the travel arrangements for the new academic year set to begin on September 8.

Under the revised schedule, students whose schools are located in the districts of Ruhango, Ngororero, and Rulindo districts will travel on 5 September.

The following day, 6 September, is designated for students returning to schools in Nyanza, Musanze, Nyamagabe, Nyabihu, Rubavu, Gakenke, Rwamagana, and Kayonza districts.

On 7 September, students will travel to schools in the districts of Huye, Kamonyi, Karongi, Rutsiro, and Gicumbi, while on Monday, 8 September, those in Nyagatare, Gatsibo, Muhanga, Nyaruguru, Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Bugesera, Nyarugenge, Gasabo, and Burera districts will travel.
