APR FC Vs Police FC

APR FC captain Claude Niyomugabo has fired a reminder to his teammates to quickly put AS Kigali loss behind and focus on their upcoming Inkera y’Abahizi Tournament clash against Police FC on Thursday, August 21, at Kigali Pele Stadium.

APR lost to AS Kigali 5-4 on penalty shootouts after both sides had played a 1-all draw in regulation time and Niyomugabo warned his players that the club can’t afford to lose again when they face Police FC.

“We lost the game against AS Kigali, it was not okay for us but we can recover against Police and Azam FC. Our aim is to win our remaining matches in this tournament to stand a chance of winning it,” Niyomugabo said.

Niyomugabo said beating their Police will not only boost their chances of winning the tournament but the result could also serve as a psychological boost.

“This is a preseason tournament where we have to understand each other in the game and, even if we lost, there’s positive side we can take and we will build strong collaboration which will help us in the next season,” he said.

Both clubs, APR FC and Police FC, lost their most recent games against AS Kigali and Azam FC respectively and stakes will high when they go head to head seeking to win the next encounter.

Elsewhere, Azam FC will face AS Kigali in another match due at Kigali Pele Stadium.
