Africa-Press – Rwanda. Police FC are exploring possibilities of signing Ugandan striker Samuel Ssenyonjo, Times Sport has learnt.
Ssenyonjo, 23, scored 13 goals in the Uganda Premier League during the 2024/25 season. He became a free agent at the end of the season and Police are showing interest in his services as Ben Moussa looks to reinforce his attacking department.
Initial talks have happened between the club and player and his agent. Police FC tabled a monthly salary of $700 (approx. Rwf 1,000,000) but the player and his representatives want it increased to $1000-$1500 (Rwf 1,400,000-Rwf2,100,000).
Ssenyonjo is also been pursued by Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko who will be playing in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.
Elsewhere, Amagaju FC have signed Congolese goalkeeper Henock Kamalanduaku on a two-year deal.
The agile shot stopper formerly played for Darling Club Motema Pembe (DCMP) and Bukavu Dawa all in his native country.
Meanwhile, Rayon Sports are interested in signing Gasogi United FC striker Abdel Aziz Harerimana.
Also, Kenyan striker Rachid Mchelenga has left Musanze FC for Tanzanian outfit Namungo FC. The striker, who joined Musanze in the January transfer window, scored five goals for the club but declined to renew his contract.
Lastly, striker Olaya Habibu who was instrumental in AS Muhanga’s Rwanda Premier League qualification has left the club. He has returned home to join Al Ghazalq SC-Wau for an undisclosed fee.
