After guiding his team to the Peace Cup final, Rayon Sports interim head coach Claude Rwaka has urged his players to remain focused as they chase a domestic double of the Peace Cup and the Rwanda Premier League (RPL) titles.

Rayon Sports will face rivals APR FC in the Peace Cup final on Sunday, May 4 at Amahoro Stadium. Both clubs are still in the race for the league title, with Rayon Sports currently leading the standings on 53 points, just one point ahead of APR. Only five league matches remain.

Speaking ahead of the final, Rwaka acknowledged the strength of the opposition but insisted that his team’s goal is to win the double.

“It will be a tough game. We are working on our preparations. Our goal this year is to win all the trophies,” he said.

He congratulated his players for progressing to the finals but cautioned them to stay calm and focused.

In the women’s category, Saturday will feature the third-place matches at Kigali Pele Stadium. In the women’s category, Police will play Kamonyi at 12:30, followed by the men’s fixture between Police and Mukura at 15:30.

Sunday’s finals will be hosted at Amahoro Stadium. Rayon Sports face Indagamirwa at 12:30 in the women’s final, followed by the highly anticipated men’s clash between APR and Rayon Sports at 16:30.
