Africa-Press – Rwanda. The Rwanda Meteorology Agency has warned that Nyabihu, Rubavu, Rutsiro, Karongi, Rusizi, and Nyamasheke districts could face strong wind speeds ranging between 8 and 10 metres per second this month.

Moderate to strong winds ranging from 4m/s to 10m/s are expected across the country in general.

Slightly strong winds ranging between 6 and 8 m/s are expected over many parts of Nyagatare, Gatsibo, and Gicumbi, the northern parts of Burera and Musanze districts, the western parts of Nyabihu, Ngororero, localised areas of Kirehe District and the remaining parts of Rubavu, Rutsiro, Karongi, Nyamasheke and Rusizi Districts, according to the weather forecaster.

In June, rainfall ranging from 0 to 120 millimetres is expected across the country. Higher amounts of rainfall, ranging from 80 to 120 millimetres, are expected over northern parts of Rubavu, Nyabihu, Musanze, and Burera districts, as well as over Volcanoes and Gishwati national parks.

Rainfall ranging between 40 and 80 mm is expected in many parts of Nyamasheke and Rutsiro districts, the remaining parts of Rubavu, Nyabihu districts, eastern parts of Rusizi District, western parts of Ngororero, Nyaruguru and Nyamagabe districts, as well as northern parts of Burera District.

Rainfall less than 10 mm is expected over Eastern Province, Kigali City and many parts of Southern Province. The remaining parts of the country are expected to record rainfall ranging between 10 and 40 mm.

The average maximum temperature is expected to range between 18°C and 30°C.

Temperature ranging between 28°C and 30°C is the highest expected in the areas of Bugarama plain while temperature ranging between 26°C and 28°C is expected over many parts of the Amayaga region, Nyarugenge and Bugesera districts, southern parts of Rusizi District and localised parts of Kirehe and Ngoma districts.

Lower maximum temperature is expected to range between 20°C and 22°C over many parts of Musanze, Nyabihu and Burera districts, western parts of Nyaruguru, Nyamagabe and Ngororero, eastern parts of Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Rutsiro and Rubavu and northern parts of Gicumbi and Rulindo districts.
