Zaria Court Christmas: Lights Music and Family Moments

Africa-Press – Rwanda. December always finds a way to take over Kigali, drawing people out with music, family outings, night markets, and every kind of celebration.

This year, Zaria Court has stepped right into the centre of that energy, turning its urban space into one of the city’s most spirited holiday destinations.

The venue has rolled out a full month of food, culture, live entertainment, and community moments built to carry the season from the first week of December to the first sunrise of 2026.

The festivities began early. The Davido After-party on December 5 kept the city alive long after the BK Arena show emptied out. The following morning, car enthusiasts and coffee lovers gathered for Cars and Coffee on December 6, a relaxed meet-up that brought collectors, hobbyists, and curious passersby together over engines and espressos.

These first events did more than warm up the space. They set the tone for a December that keeps unfolding one celebration at a time.

Zaria Christmas Experience

On Saturday, December 13, Zaria Court will turn into a family Christmas marketplace with local vendors, craft stations, cake decorating, face painting, and festive creations that bring the season to life. From 5 p.m., it becomes a warm space to make memories with loved ones while taking in the lively holiday atmosphere.

Christmas Lighting Evening

At 7 p.m., right after the marketplace winds down, guests will gather for the official lighting of the Zaria Court Christmas tree. It is a simple and joyful moment to welcome Christmas together with family or friends. The evening will feature a performance by Turikumwe Choir, themed cocktails, cookies for kids, and a selection of holiday treats.

Zaria Court Holiday Picnic

The festive mood continues on December 21 with an outdoor holiday picnic on the Zaria Court Campus. Expect live seasonal music, food vendors, kids’ activities, and plenty of open space to sit back and enjoy the day with the people who matter most.

Christmas Eve Dinner

On December 24, Mansela’s All-Day Dining at the Zaria Court Hotel will host a Christmas Eve dinner that starts at 7 p.m. Guests will enjoy a festive welcome drink, an international buffet, and live band entertainment for Rwf56,000 per person.

Christmas Brunch

The celebrations carry into Christmas Day with a family brunch at Mansela’s All-Day Dining from 11 a.m. The afternoon features a kids’ activity area and live music, creating an easy, joyful space to share a holiday meal with loved ones.

Icyumba cya Rap

On December 26, Zaria Court will host Icyumba cya Rap, a tribute to Rwanda’s hip-hop culture that brings together both old-school and new-wave artists. It is set to be a lively night for fans of a genre many consider the heartbeat of the city.

Spinny and Friends

Zaria Court keeps the music rolling on December 27 as DJ Spinny arrives with a full set and a line-up of guest DJs. The night is built for high energy, steady beats, and a crowd that wants to dance well into the evening.

New Year’s Eve Dinner

The celebrations peak on December 31 with a New Year’s Eve gala that starts at 7 p.m. Guests can enjoy a live band and a gourmet buffet, with two dinner options priced at Rwf66,000 for Classic and Rwf88,000 for the Alcoholic package.

New Year’s Brunch

The first morning of 2026 begins at Solia Pool Bar, where an international buffet will be spread across four stations from 11 a.m. The afternoon features a live band, a DJ set, and a relaxed holiday atmosphere. The classic buffet is Rwf70,000 and the alcoholic buffet is Rwf100,000.

Beyond the headline events, Zaria Court is keeping the season lively with weekly festive activities already underway. Guests can opt for an all-inclusive stay that includes breakfast and full access to the pool and gym, with rooms priced at $110 (Approx Rwf160,000) for single occupancy and $130 for double occupancy.

Those seeking a slower pace can try the Chillmas Wellness Escape, which offers a day pass with gym and pool access, a one-hour massage, and a signature Christmas cocktail or smoothie for Rwf48,000. A 20 percent discount on new gym memberships rounds out the wellness offers for anyone hoping to start their fitness journey before the year ends.
