Africa-Press – Rwanda. Silver Bells International School held a graduation ceremony on Friday, June 27, for 44 primary school pupils, including one learner with autism, marking the completion of their primary education.

Out of the 44 students who sat for the Cambridge Checkpoint exams, 15 achieved outstanding results, 24 obtained high results, and five received good results. The school takes pride in each of them for their hard work and commitment.

The school, located in Kigali, currently accommodates nursery pupils, primary learners, and learners in its early intervention programme for children with mental disabilities.

Offering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Cambridge Assessment International Curriculum, Silver Bells focuses on nurturing independent learners capable of reaching their full potential. With high academic standards, a strong co-curricular programme, and a deep commitment to character development, the school fosters leadership, teamwork, and personal growth.

Speaking at the school’s graduation ceremony, Evas Kyomugisha, the Managing Director and founder of Silver Bells International School, commended the school’s graduating class for exceeding international academic expectations.

“We are proud to share that your results were assessed through Cambridge Primary Checkpoint and are internationally recognised. These assessments benchmarked you against global standards, and you not only met expectations, you exceeded them. This proves that excellence is not defined by location but by commitment. Today, you have shown that you can compete with the best in the world.”

Kyomugisha expressed gratitude to parents and guardians, thanking them for trusting Silver Bells and calling them true partners in the school’s journey.

She acknowledged the role of the teachers and staff in the students’ success, noting, “You have not only delivered the curriculum, you have shaped character, built confidence, and today’s success is your success too.”

Kyomugisha also announced that Silver Bells International School will launch its secondary section starting with Grade 7 in the next academic year.

The new section will follow the Cambridge Lower Secondary Curriculum, which, according to Kyomugisha, is “designed to provide relevant and internationally benchmarked education.”

This curriculum not only prepares students for future Cambridge assessments but also shapes them into well-rounded, informed, driven individuals, she added.

Kyomugisha stressed that Silver Bells’ mission extends beyond academics, aiming to raise competent, ethical, and globally minded leaders.

Addressing the graduates, she said, “Take pride in your journey. You have made history. Walk into secondary school knowing that you are prepared, supported, and deeply celebrated.”

Marcellin Kamanzi, a parent, described the graduation as a celebration of a hopeful beginning that has grown into something meaningful.

“I remember when our son reached the age to begin school, my wife and I sincerely prayed for God’s guidance. In that season of seeking, I heard clearly in my heart, ‘This is the school you are looking for.’ That moment marked the beginning of our journey with Silver Bells International School, and I am humbled to be among the few who witnessed the first steps.”

He congratulated the students, emphasising the significance of their achievement. “You carry the legacy of the school’s humble yet determined start. You give us hope, not only for the future of the institution, but for the future of our community, our country, and our world.”

Kamanzi thanked the academic and administrative staff for their dedication and praised the founder for their lasting impact on the students’ lives.
