Africa-Press – Rwanda. School resumed for the third term on Monday, April 15, with boarding students returning to their schools in a phased approach from April 15 to 18.

According to an announcement by the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), students from the Districts of Nyanza, Kamonyi, Rusizi, Nyamasheke, Musanze, Burera, Nyagatare, and Gatsibo will initiate the travel schedule on Monday, April 15.

Continuing the travel arrangements, students from Karongi, Rutsiro, Rulindo, Gakenke, Rwamagana, and Kayonza Districts will proceed on April 16. Subsequently, on April 17, students from Ruhango, Gisagara, Rubavu, Nyabihu, Gicumbi, Ngoma, and Kirehe Districts will embark on their journey.

Finally, on April 18, students from Nyarugenge, Gasabo, Kicukiro, Muhanga, Nyamagabe, Ngororero, and Bugesera Districts will depart, ensuring the commencement of the last term of the school year 2023/2024.

To facilitate travel arrangements, the government has organised buses to transport students departing from Kigali and those passing through the city en route to other provinces. The Kigali Pele stadium in Nyamirambo has been designated as the meeting point, with closure time set at 3 pm.

Parents are urged to adhere to the scheduled transport calendar and ensure the timely departure of their children to prevent congestion in the final days, which could disrupt public transport services.

To maintain order and efficiency, students are required to wear their school uniforms and carry student identification cards.

Meanwhile, as the last term commences, the Ministry of Education has announced that parents and guardians can now pay for school feeding using Mobile Money.

Furthermore, it is anticipated that the national examinations will commence on July 8 until 10 for primary schools, while general and technical secondary examinations will start on July 24 and August 3, respectively.
