Business registration to go fully online – RDB

Africa-Press – Rwanda. The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is set to launch a new, consolidated digital portal known as One Stop Center, which will move the country’s business registration process entirely online.

The upgraded system, scheduled to go live on January 5, 2026, aims to make starting and managing a business in Rwanda faster and more efficient for both local and international investors.

To prepare for the transition, the current registration system will be offline for a four-day period, the RDB said in a statement on Wednesday, December 31.

The downtime begins Wednesday and will continue through January 4, as technical teams perform data migration and final configurations.

This digital shift is part of Rwanda’s broader strategy to modernize its economy and improve the ease of doing business.

The RDB highlights that by centralizing investor services at the new portal (https://onestopcentre.rdb.rw) the RDB intends to eliminate hurdles and provide a seamless experience for business registration and management.

The RDB describes the move as a transformation of the registration experience.

The board stated that the new system is “faster, smarter, and more seamless,” reflecting Rwanda’s ambition to remain a top investment destination in Africa.

During the migration window, no new data entry or business operations can be processed through the old system, according to RDB.

The new portal will not only handle business registrations but will also progressively add other investor-related services.
