Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwanda is presenting its luxury and conservation-led tourism offerings at ILTM Asia Pacific in Singapore, taking place from June 30 to July 3.

Reports indicate that this year’s ILTM Asia Pacific event, a culturally rich luxury travel trade show that includes pre-scheduled appointments, educational sessions, and invaluable exposure, welcomed more than 740 luxury travel buyers from 22 countries to meet with 740 luxury suppliers.

Rwanda Development Board (RDB) Chief Tourism Officer Irène Murerwa, together with tour operators, travel agencies and Rwanda’s High Commission in Singapore – accredited to Singapore, Australia, New Zealand and Brunei – is engaging with travel industry representatives and media from Australia, Bangladesh, South Korea, New Zealand and other Asia-Pacific markets to explore collaboration opportunities and create tailored itineraries for visitors.

Rwanda’s tourism industry raked in $647 million (approx. Rwf923billion) revenue in 2024, representing a slight increase of 4.3 percent compared to 2023, according to RDB.

The recorded tourism growth was buoyed by gorilla tourism, which generated $200 million in revenue, a 27 percent increase, whereas education and visiting friends and relatives (VFR) segments rose by 16 percent and five percent, respectively.
