Africa-Press – Rwanda. Seventy-four officers of Rwanda National Police (RNP) have been retired, the force announced in an official communique on Tuesday, December 2.
Among those retired are two Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP): Sam Rumanzi and Francis Muheto.
The statement added that the retirees include 9 senior officers, 12 junior officers, and 38 Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs).
Another 13 officers were retired on medical grounds while 2 others were discharged for other reasons, according to the statement.
The retirements are part of regular personnel management within the police force.
The previous announcement of retirees was made in November 2024, with 154 officers, including one Commissioner of Police and six ACPs.
