Rwanda, France seek stronger defence ties

Africa-Press – Rwanda. A delegation from the French Armed Forces (FAF) led by Brig Gen Fabien Kuzniak, Head of Southern Bilateral Cooperation Department is in Rwanda to explore opportunities to further enhance the partnership with Rwanda Defence Force (RDF)

A statement released by RDF on June 8 indicates: “the delegation held consultations with RDF counterparts led by Brig Gen Patrick Karuretwa, Head of International Military Cooperation Department and paid a courtesy call to the CDS, Lt Gen Mubarakh Muganga”.

Gen Kuzniak and his team also paid homage to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsis.

In May 2022, RDF hosted a delegation from the French Armed Forces for a one-day working visit as a follow up to another visit by an RDF delegation to France in March 2022.

The meeting took place at RDF Headquarters at Kimihurura on Thursday, June 8.
