Africa-Press – Rwanda. The final list of 10 cars set to compete in the Nyirangarama Rally has been confirmed, with this year’s edition scheduled for Saturday, September 6, 2025, in Rulindo District.
Now in its fourth edition, the event is organised by the Rwanda Automobile Club (RAC) in partnership with Urwibutso Enterprise.
According to RAC, all 10 entries are from Rwanda. Among them is the Subaru Impreza of Christian Kanangire and Kevin Mujiji, who dominated all domestic races in 2024. Also joining is Giancarlo Davite, winner of the inaugural rally in 2019, who will team up with Giancarlo Matteo in a Mitsubishi Evo X.
Former Miss Rwanda 2012, Aurore Kayibanda, will make her rally debut, co-piloted by Eric Fabrice Gakwaya in a Subaru Impreza.
The rally will feature nine stages covering 92 kilometres, with routes set in Gashenyi (four stages), Tare (three stages), and Karambo (two stages).
The most recent edition, held in 2023, was won by Burundian crew Faida Philbert and Guy Icishatse in a Subaru Impreza N10.
