Africa-Press – Rwanda. Musanze FC’s Peter Agblevor says he had long harbored a motive of scoring against Rayon Sports and the striker is elated that he finally did it at the right time.

The Ghanaian striker had trials with the Blues in September 2021 but was ignored by then coach Juma Masudi. He later joined Etoile de l’Est after they were promoted to the top flight league.

Agblevor, who insists he is good enough to feature for Rayon, netted the first goal as Musanze beat the Blues 2-0 at Ubworoherane Stadium on Sunday, November 27.

“I wanted to punish Rayon Sports and teach them a lesson. I think this was the accurate time and I just did it,” the 19-year-old told Times Sport.

“I had always wanted to show them I am better than all the strikers they signed after the 2021 season,” he added.

The Ghanaian centre forward so far has five goals and four assists to his name as he sets eyes on the 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League golden boot.

“My target is to win the top scorer award and I believe I can do it. I will keep pushing and, with hard work and prayers, my will become a reality,” he noted.
