APR 81-67 Patriots
APR advanced into the finals of the Rwanda Basketball League after beating Patriots 81-67 in Game 5 of the semi-finals playoffs at BK Arena on June 29 to win the best-of-five series 3-2 on Sunday.
Shooting guard Ntore Habimana and William Robeyns ran the show during the ‘take it or go home’ clash, leading the scoring with 18 and 16 points respectively, while their teammate Adonis Filer contributed 12 points as APR finish the series in style.
James Maye Jr’s side has now set the finals date with Rwanda Energy Group (REG) who beat UGB eliminated United Generation Basketball (UGB) with a clean 3-0 sweep in the semifinals.
The finals will be played in a “best-of-seven series” format with Game 1 scheduled for July 2.
