Africa-Press – Rwanda. The CAF Champions League preliminary round match between APR FC and Pyramids has been postponed again due to the UCI Road World Championship which will take place in Kigali from September 21-28.
APR and Rayon Sports will host their CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively at Amahoro Stadium.
However, the military side’s fixtures on the initially indicated dates have been rescheduled after the government informed both clubs that the stadium won’t be available between September 15-28 to ensure smooth operations of UCI officials during the World Championships.
The first leg which was due between September 19-21 at Amahoro Stadium has been rescheduled from October 1 while the second leg which was to be played between September 26-28 in Cairo has been pushed to October 5.
And as it stands, APR FC will host Pyramids FC in the first leg on October 1 at the Amahoro Stadium while the return leg will be held in Cairo, Egypt, on October 5.
The last time the two teams met ended in Pyramids favour where they won 5-1 on aggregate (1-1 in Kigali and 4-1 for Pyramids in Egypt).
