Africa-Press – Rwanda. APR Handball Club made a revenge against domestic rivals Police HC with a 28-25 victory to win back-to-back Coupe du Rwanda on Sunday, July 27.
APR had lost 28-25 to Police in the group stages of Coupe du Rwanda as the latter kept their dominance over military side after giving them a clean finals sweep to win the title in June.
However, Sunday’s final at Kimisagara Gymnasium went the other way round as Anaclet Bagirishya’s side defied the odds to stuns the law enforcers in the final to retain the trophy for the second time in row.
The previous edition of Coupe du Rwanda was held in 2023 where APR HC won the men’s title after beating ES Kigoma 37-17.
