Africa-Press – Rwanda. Fresh from winning Coupe du Rwanda 2025, APR Handball Club have unveiled three players who signed for the club from Equity Bank of Kenya.
The trio was among seven new players that the club will use during the 2025-2026 season,
The new signings, Morgan Simiyu, Brian Wakukha and Julius Chiunda, were all part of the Equity Bank team that beat APR and Police during the Genocide Memorial Tournament and eventually won it.
APR HC is building a team with key players who are expected to make an impact during the African Cup of Nations 2025. The tournament brings together teams that have won their domestic cups (Cup Winners Cup), as well as the ECAHF tournament.
The new players join four more players namely goalkeeper Jackson ‘Daduwa’ Uwimana, Alexis Nshimiyimana, Yves Umuhire and Viateur Rwamanywa who unexpectedly joined APR HC from Police HC before the national handball league finals concluded.
