APR Signs Nduwayo Gasogi United Defender Rayon Eyes Duo

Africa-Press – Rwanda. Rwandan defender Alex Nduwayo has agreed to join APR FC after a good season with Gasogi United during the 2024/25 season.

Sources close to the player told Times Sport that the player, who rose to prominence from the FERWAFA Youth competitions, penned a four-year contract, for a fee of Rwf25 million and a salary will be Rwf 900,000 per month.

The Rwanda U20 youngster started to play for Gasogi Untied from youth team before he was promoted to the senior team at the beginning of the 2024/25 season of the Rwanda Premier League.

He has a task to fight for a place with Clément Niyigena, Yunussu Nshimiyimana and Aliou Souane.

He becomes APR’s eighth signing this window after Ugandan forward Ronald Ssekiganda Burkinabe midfielder Memel Raouf Dao, Rwanda shot stopper Adolphe Hakizimana, Hakim Bugingo, Omborenga Fitina, Pacifique Ngabonziza and Hadji Iraguha.

Lotfi wants Northern African duo at Rayon

Tunisian coach Lotfi Afahmia is convincing countryman Mohamed Chelli and Algerian midfielder Rayane Hamouimeche to join him at his new club Rayon Sports ahead of the coming 2025/26 season.

The club management wants the duo to do trials before deciding to sign them.

Chelli and Hamouimeche are expected in Kigali and he will be available to start pre-season training sessions with the rest of the team on Monday, June 30.

Chelli, who plays behind the strikers, was at Océano Club de Kerkennah which was relegated to the Tunisian second tier league.

Meanwhile, Hamouimeche, 21, is already in Kigali as he prepares to start trials with the Blues. He was playing in Canada.

However, another player who is linked to join Rayon is Senegalese defensive midfielder, Sidy Sarr, who was playing in AS Soliman of Tunisia

Gatera in talks with AS Muhanga

AS Muhanga are in final talks with Rutsiro FC head coach Moussa Gatera who is expected to sign two-year contract.

Gatera guided Rutsiro to ninth place with 38 points in the last season campaign of Rwanda Premier League.

Police and Gorilla FC in race striker Abba

Police FC and Gorilla FC are chasing the signature of Bugesera FC star striker Umar Abba.

The Nigerian player finished won the top scorer award for the 2024/25 Rwanda Premier League season where he scored 17 goals to help Bugesera FC avoid relegation.

Abba became a free agent after his one-year contract with Bugesera FC expired at the end of the season. Many teams from Rwanda and out of country are looking for his services and Police FC and Gorilla FC are leading the race to sign him.

The reports indicate that Abba is also in talks with South African top tier club Polokwane City FC.
