APR suspends two players over misconduct

Africa-Press – Rwanda. APR FC has suspended two of its players, Mamadou Sy and Dauda Seidu Yassif, for 30 days over misconduct that violated the club’s code of conduct.

In a statement signed by the club’s chairman, Brig. Gen. Deo Rusanganwa, the management said the disciplinary action follows an incident that occurred in Cairo, Egypt, during the CAF Champions League fixture between APR FC and Pyramids FC.

According to the statement, during preparations for the match, the two players deliberately disobeyed instructions and directives issued by the Head Coach and the Club Management, an act described as a serious case of indiscipline that negatively affected team performance and unity.

The club said the 30-day suspension will allow a thorough investigation to be conducted before any further administrative decisions are made.

It added that no individual is above the club’s values, emphasizing that every player must uphold the principles of loyalty, teamwork, and discipline that have long defined APR FC.
