Africa-Press – Rwanda. APR will take on Kenya’s Nairobi City Thunder on May 17, in the opening game of the Nile Conference group phase of the Basketball Africa League (BAL) 2025.
The pair were drawn in the Nile Conference due from May 17-25 at BK Arena in Kigali alongside Al Ahli Tripoli (Libya), South Africa’s Made By Basketball (MBB).
APR will next take on MBB on May 18 before capping off the first round against Libya’s Al Ahli Tripoli on May 20.
During the second round, the Rwandan champions will be up for a replay with each of Made by Basketball on May 22, Al Ahli Tripoli May 24 and Nairobi City Thunder May 25.
BAL 2025 comprises 12 teams pooled in three conferences: Kalahari, Nile and Sahara.
Teams in each conference play against each other where the top eight will proceed to the next round of playoffs which will be played on a knockout basis (quarterfinals, semifinals and then finals) in South Africa from June 6 -14.
