Africa-Press – Rwanda. The group stages of the Road to BAL Division East qualifiers concluded at the Ellis Park Arena on Thursday, November 24, and six players grabbed the spotlight.

Here are the players who lit up the stats sheet on the final day of the stage games.

Adonis Filer (Urunani)

The former Rwanda Energy Group (REG) point guard had a huge night against the Cape Town Tigers scoring 28 points that led the Burundi club to victory, and a top of Group A.

Filer scored at will against the Tigers, and he had a 57.1 (11/21) field-goal percentage in the game. Filer also crashed seven boards, which all came at the defensive end.

Ngor Barnaba (City Oilers)

The City Oilers big man came to life in the game against Ferroviario da Beira. Barnaba found his shooting stroke behind the arc, where he was 5/9. He grabbed nine rebounds, three steals and two assists in a game that saw the Ugandan club finish the group stages 3-0.

Khaman Maluach (NBA Academy Africa)

The South Sudanese player is growing as a player. He will take confidence from his performance against Kenya Ports Authority, where he finished well at the rim. He is also a good shooter from three-point range and finished with figures of 4/7.

Serge Darlan (NBA Academy Africa)

The NBA Academy point guard has been a model of consistency. His 25 points against Kenya Ports Authority completed a memorable tournament for the youngster.

Douglas Kandulu (Matero Magic)

The Matero Magic centre was a dominant figure in the game against COSPN. His double-double (15 points and 14 rebounds) helped the Zambian club finish on a high at the tournament.

Saul Phiri (Matero Magic)

The Matero Magic shooting guard had a memorable final game against COSPN. Apart from scoring 22 points, he also scored the winning bucket in the final seconds for the Magic.
