Africa-Press – Rwanda. US-based Rwandan center Noah Bigirumwami has signed for local basketball powerhouse Rwanda Energy Group (REG) for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The 27-year-old confirmed his move to Times Sport, noting that his contract will run until the end of the season. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation for his injury and is expected to play for his new team ‘soon’ after his recovery.
“I’m still recovering and doing rehab but God willing, I will be able to play soon,” Bigirumwami said in an interview.
“I’m excited to join the club. I’m grateful for the opportunity and to be able to be a part of the club’s vision and goals,” he added.
Bigirumwami also features for the national team, since his debut appearance in 2022 in the FIBA World Cup qualifiers.
He previously played for the Chicago State Cougars, as well as having a stint in Spain with Oviedo Club Baloncesto, a professional basketball team based in Oviedo, Asturias, that plays in the Spanish LEB Oro league.
