Beach Volleyball: Masumbuko confident Rwanda can qualify for Paris Olympics

Africa-Press – Rwanda. National beach volleyball team head coach Jean de Dieu Masumbuko is optimistic that Rwanda can go all the way in the forthcoming All African Games and book a ticket to the 2024 Olympic Games that will take place in Paris, France from July 26 to August 11.

Scheduled to take place in Accra, Ghana from March 8-23, the All African Games hold significant importance not only for determining the continental champions in various sports but also serve as the qualifiers for the Olympics.

“The chance of qualifying for the Olympics is still within our reach. We will focus on preparations and be ready to challenge any team participating in the All African Games,” Masumbuko said.

Rwanda earned a ticket to the All African Games after defeating neighboring countries such as Burundi, Uganda, and Kenya during the Zone V beach volleyball Olympic qualifiers that took place in Kenya in December 2023.

Times Sport has learned that the team will start training in early February.
