Africa-Press – Rwanda. The local volleyball governing body (FRVB) has confirmed that Rwanda will will be represented at the upcoming CAVB Zone Beach volleyball qualifiers for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The regional qualifiers, men and women, will take place in Mombasa, Kenya, from December 19-24. The tournament will also act as qualifying event for next year’s All African Games.
The top three countries in the zonal qualifiers will qualify for next year’s CAVB- African Volleyball Confederation Continental Cup whose winner will get the sole ticket to the Paris Olympics.
Rwanda’s participation was confirmed by FRVB Technical Director, Gertrude Kubwimana while the squads for the competition are already out.
The Zone Five Beach Volleyball Olympic qualifiers will attract eight countries including hosts Kenya, Egypt, South Sudan, Uganda, Tanzania, Somalia, Rwanda and Burundi.
