Al Hilal vs Bugesera FC, at Kigali Stadium
Kick-off: 18:00
Bugesera FC head coach Camarade Banamwana is optimistic that his team can replicate their performance against Al Merrikh when they face Al Hilal on Thursday, December 11, at Kigali Pele Stadium.
Al Hilal come into the match unbeaten in three league games, winning two—including Monday’s 2–0 victory over Mukura VS despite playing over 75 minutes with 10 men.
Banamwana acknowledged Al Hilal’s strength, organisation, and depth but said Bugesera are ready to cause an upset.
“We know our opponents are stronger. You look at their players, and you can’t even know who will start and who is a substitute. They are well organised and clinical in front of goal, so we need to close our space well and try to use our chances. We will be ready for the challenge,” Banamwana said.
“We had good preparations and players are fit for the game; we are not taking anything for granted as far as we prepare for Al Hilal.”
He emphasized that, while they respect Al Hilal, they do not fear them, promising to “surprise” them just as they did against their Sudanese rivals Al Merrikh.
Bugesera currently sit 12th with 10 points.
In other fixtures, 11th placed Amagaju FC will host bottom side Rutsiro FC.
