Africa-Press – Rwanda. Canal+ Group will from August 5 broadcast all major European football leagues including Italian Serie A, Germany’s Bundesliga, Spanish LaLiga, France’s Ligue 1, English Premier League as well as UEFA Champions League.

The Group announced this milestone after renewing an agreement that grants the company the rights to broadcast the leagues in Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to Marie-Claire Muneza, Communication Manager at Canal + Rwanda, Canal + Group is the only media company that is allowed to broadcast games from the aforementioned leagues in Sub-Saharan Africa, including special rights to broadcast them in French in the countries where the language is spoken.

The agreement allows Canal+ to broadcast all 380 matches that make up the Premier League. It will also broadcast daily three best games in LaLiga, one of the best in LaLiga SmartBank (second division League in Spain) and the highlights of LaLiga World and LaLiga SmartBank.

All the games will be broadcasted on Canal+ Sport channels and App Canal featuring professional commentators starting on Friday August 5 where the pay Tv company’s subscribers in Sub-Saharan Africa will watch the opening game of Premier League – Crystal Palace Vs Arsenal.
